The American Tactical GSG-16 Tactical is a semi-automatic .22 LR rifle in flat dark earth with a polymer receiver. Its 16.25-inch barrel sits in a collapsible stock that adjusts overall length from 28.5 to 34.25 inches, and the stock includes a storage compartment for an extra magazine. The M-LOK style handguard carries Picatinny rail sections, and the ambidextrous charging handle suits left- and right-handed shooters. The rifle weighs 5.84 pounds, holds 22+1 rounds, and includes one 22-round magazine.

Pennsylvania's deer and bear seasons do not allow semiautomatic rifles, so this .22 LR is a range and training rifle for those months. The collapsible stock and adjustable sights let a shooter set up the rifle for varied positions, and the Picatinny rail sections accept accessories. It suits plinking and recreational shooting, and the storage compartment keeps a spare magazine on the rifle.
