The Marlin 1894 SBL is a stainless-finish lever-action rifle chambered for .357 Magnum and .38 Special. Its 16.1-inch cold hammer-forged barrel carries a 1/2x28 thread and a thread protector. The rifle weighs 6.4 pounds, measures 34.75 inches overall, and has a laminate stock and forend with a soft rubber buttpad. A full-length Picatinny rail sits on top for an optic.

Pennsylvania's deer and bear rules name manually operated centerfire rifles, which a lever action like this one is, but the Special Regulations Area counties restrict rifles, so check the digest for your county first. The weather-resistant laminate and oversized lever loop suit changing conditions or gloved hands, as the maker describes. A ghost ring rear sight and tritium fiber optic front sight give a fast aiming reference.
